JUTE AND COMPANY

1930:

Our founding father, Shree Ram Lal Golchha, established the first company in Nepal. This was the first-ever large-scale trade and export organisation, exporting raw jute to India & European countries.

1936:

Establishment of the first-ever large-scale industry of Nepal, Biratnagar Jute Mills Ltd., and set the course for the nation's economic growth. Also known as the father of industrialization.

1947:

Established second Jute mill in Nepal .

1993:

Establishment of Arihant MultiFibers Limited (AMFL), a jute-based industry that manufactures products like jute fabric, sacks & twisted yarn.

2004:

AMFL was facilitated with a CIP award for the largest export of the nation.

2014:

AMFL was facilitated with a CIP award for the largest employment in the nation.

2022:

Expanding the horizon of AMFL by setting up additional looms, printing & stitching sections, Jute & Company was founded with the aim of marking our footprints around the world with customized Jute bags.

Arihant MultiFibers Limited (AMFL), is a jute based industry and manufactures products like jute fabric, sacks & twisted yarn. The state of the art machinery supplied by James Mackies & Son’s, Ireland makes AMFL one of the most modern Jute mills. The company is the largest single entity in the manufacturing sector employing over 4000 workforce directly out of which 40% are female and has a capacity of processing 25000 M.T. of Jute Per Annum.

Jute & Company is affiliated with AMFL. We are dedicated to purposes that go beyond making profits. We are an entrepreneurial organisation that focuses on contributing a part of ourselves to society. Some of the CSR events undertaken by us are:

Donating a certain amount to the local community every year.
We have made donations to a school, a local hospital during covid, a temple, and donated an ambulance.
Organised blood donation programme every year for the benefit of the Nepal Red Cross Society.
Clothes distribution programme for the underprivileged organised on a local level.
Plantation i.e. 200 plants every year within the factory.

Preparing the silver for spinning by doubling & drafting

Converting spinning yarn bobbins to cops for looms
